Kongsberg Automotive’s Interior business area has been awarded two contracts for the supply of seat comfort systems to two European premium automakers, with a combined estimated total value of EUR 56 million (NOK524 million).

The first contract, worth an estimated EUR 27 million over its lifetime, comprises the supply of seat heat systems for a top premium sedan. The second contract, worth an estimated EUR 29 million over its lifetime, is for the supply of seat heat systems for a luxury SUV.

The production for both programs will begin in 2017 in KA’s facility in Pruszkow, Poland.

Several Car Contracts

 

 

Kongsberg Automotive’s Fluid Transfer business area has previously been awarded a contract worth an estimated total of EUR 6 million (NOK 56 million) for the ABC air brake connector range with one of Europe’s major truck manufacturers.Production under the contract will commence later this year from Kongsberg Automotive’s Raufoss facility in Norway with sales value expected to be in the region of EUR1.2 million per year over five years.Kongsberg Automotive has also been awarded a seven year agreement with a European premium automaker for the supply of seat comfort systems to a mid-size/large luxury SUV. The contract is worth an estimated EUR 15.8 million (NOK 145 million)

Truck Brake Systems Routed

The ABC connector range is a light weight safety-critical component that enables truck brake systems to be routed and assembled in the most efficient manner saving both time in design and assembly.

Polish Production Plant

Kongsberg Automotive has been awarded a seven year agreement with a European premium automaker for the supply of seat comfort systems to a mid-size/large luxury SUV. The contract is worth an estimated EUR 15.8 million (NOK 145 million) over its lifetime, and production is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2016 from KA’s facility in Pruszkow, Poland.

The vehicle that KA will supply to combines off-road ability and luxury. KA will supply comfort systems including lumbar support systems for the front seats and seat heat systems for all three seat rows.
